Local river flooding impacts are possible but not expected in parts of England on Friday. Local inland flooding impacts are possible but not expected in parts of South West England on Saturday and Sunday. Local flooding from groundwater is possible but not expected across parts of the South of England for the next five days. Lands, roads and some properties may flood and there may be travel disruption.

Wales

The forecast flood risk across Wales for today and the next four days is very low.

River

The river flood risk is VERY LOW for the next five days. Minor river flooding impacts are possible but not expected in parts of England today (Friday) as rivers respond to recent rainfall. Minor river flooding impacts are also possible but not expected in parts of England on Saturday and Sunday due to heavy rain falling onto wet catchments.

Coastal

The coastal/tidal flood risk is VERY LOW for the next five days.

Surface

The surface water flood risk is VERY LOW for the next five days. Minor surface water flooding impacts are possible but not expected in parts of England on Saturday and Sunday due to rain falling on already wet ground. Impacts could include localised flooding from urban and fast responding smaller watercourses/catchments, drains, channels and flooding from overland flow.

Groundwater

The groundwater flood risk is VERY LOW for the next five days. Minor groundwater flooding impacts are possible but not expected in parts of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire for the next five days. The level of the ongoing disruption caused by groundwater flooding in Hampshire is being managed and awareness is high. Consequently the groundwater flood risk is being assessed as VERY LOW in Hampshire for the next five days.
