Groundwater levels in Kings Somborne and Little Somborne remain high. Levels are currently 10cm lower than this time last week, but they are now rising slowly in response to the rainfall recorded in the last few days. Groundwater is expected to be affecting a small number of cellars along Winchester Road, central Kings Somborne and in Little Somborne. There is expected to be water affecting the road to Crawley. From today 28/03/2024 to Saturday 30/03/2024, further rain is forecast in Hampshire, with between 15 and 30mm of rain expected in these 3 days. Sunday 31/03/2024 is expected to be dry, but further unsettled weather bringing up to 12mm of rain is forecast on Monday 01/04/2024. Groundwater levels are expected to remain high throughout this week and could continue to rise if heavy rain continues to affect the area. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. Please remain prepared for further flooding impacts. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they can operate.
