Lower Adur

Warning no longer in force

Wednesday's early morning tide at 01:00 on 10/04/2024 is higher than normal due to unsettled weather with strong Westerly Force 5 winds. The weather increases tide table values by 0.18 m. The total forecast tide is 6.81 metres Chart Datum (3.54 mAOD) at Shoreham. While the tide remains higher than normal, it is forecast to be approximately 40cm lower than Monday evening. Only minimal flood impacts are expected, with water to be close to the top of the banks, and there may be a small amount of water in fields in Upper Beeding and Bramber. Tide levels will continue to fall for the week ahead. We continue to monitor the forecast. Please take care if walking along the river bank.
