Following heavy rainfall over night in the Lower River Coquet area the River Coquet has risen. Currently the main area of concern is the Lower River Coquet and its tributaries from Brinkburn to Warkworth. River levels suggest there may be flooding to low lying land and roads. No further rain is forecast, but the river levels will remain high into Thursday afternoon. No property flooding is forecast. Low lying land and roads may be affected. At the moment, we do not expect to issue any Flood Warnings for this area. River levels are constantly being monitored and this message will be updated by 16:00 on Thursday 23/03/17 or earlier if the situation changes. River levels can be viewed on our website.
