Property flooding is not expected.
River levels are falling slowly on the lower River Kennet following recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding of low lying land and roads remains possible today especially around Theale and Reading.
The forecast today, 20/04/2024 and tomorrow is dry. River levels are expected to continue slowly falling over the coming days but remain sensitive to further rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 21/04/2024, or as the situation changes.
