This message will be updated after this evening’s high tide or if the situation changes. High tide at Newport is expected to reach 7.0 metres at 09:00 PM today. The previous high tide at Newport reached a level of 6.8 metres at 08:45 AM this morning. High tide at Chepstow will be 25 minutes later and, at Tintern, 45 minutes later than at Newport. Although this evening's high tide is not forecast to exceed the Flood Alert threshold, the Flood Alert will remain in force due to the potential for large waves and some spray overtopping.
