Local flooding is possible but not expected from rivers and surface water in parts of Wales and the north of England on Wednesday. Land, roads and some properties may flood and there may be travel disruption.

Some minor river flooding impacts are possible but not expected for parts of Wales and the north of England on Wednesday due to the possibility of heavy rain falling across these areas. In some catchments this rain will fall onto already saturated ground.

Despite this, the river flood risk remains VERY LOW for the next five days.

Coastal

The coastal flood risk is VERY LOW for the next five days.

Positive surge in the North Sea will elevate the water level at times of high tide for some locations along the East Coast of England this weekend. Despite this, only minimal impacts are expected.

Surface

Some minor surface water flooding impacts are possible but not expected for parts of Wales and the north of England on Wednesday due to the possibility of heavy rain falling across these areas.

Despite this, the surface water flood risk remains VERY LOW for the next five days.

Groundwater

The groundwater flood risk is VERY LOW for the next five days.
