Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are high on the Ginge Brook. The weather forecast is for a dry start to Thursday with rain in the later afternoon and evening. River levels are expected to remain high and sensitive to heavy showers. Water levels have risen slightly in response to overnight rain. This is not expected to cause property flooding.
We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Do not drive through flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow, 06/12/24, or as the situation changes.
