Groundwater levels are falling slowly, but remain high and over flood alert thresholds. Levels are expected to slowly fall but flooding of fields and roads is still possible. There is some rainfall forecast for Friday and Saturday this week. Areas around Piddletrenthide, Piddlehinton and Winterbourne Abbas are expected to be most affected. The groundwater levels at the Doles Ash and Kingston Russell boreholes remain high but falling.
Flooding of roads and fields is possible. Where groundwater is near the surface, intense rainfall will lead to surface water flooding.
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
