Groundwater levels are high, but slowly falling. In the last week, the weather has been dry. In Clanville, the level peaked on Sunday 09/03/2025 and has since fallen by 24cm. Cellar flooding is expected to be ongoing in Appleshaw, Hatherden and Penton Grafton. Groundwater is affecting the main road into Penton Grafton and has emerged into Deacon and Down Road, Kimpton. Impacts to the sewerage system in Penton Mewsey and Appleshaw continue. From today (17/03/2025) to Friday (21/03/2025), only small amounts of rain are forecast. Groundwater levels are expected to continue falling slowly. Flooding impacts are expected to continue through much of March. We continue to monitor the forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operational. We will update this Flood Alert by 18:00 on Monday 24/03/2025.
