This Flood Warning has been removed. River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold at the Covington and Hail Weston river gauges. The Flood Warning for the area has now been removed. However, a Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, so flooding may still affect roads and low lying land. No rainfall is forecast today, Friday 15/01/2021, however further rainfall is possible tomorrow, Saturday 16/01/2021, which may cause levels to rise again. We continue to monitor the situation and will re-issue the Flood Warning again if necessary. Please continue to avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
