River Calder Upper Catchment

Warning no longer in force

This flood alert was in force as rainfall overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning across the Upper Calder Catchment was expected to raise river levels. We did see a river response to this rainfall overnight but below levels of concern, this is because the rainfall totals in the area over the last 12 hours were between 5-10mm, as recorded at our rain gauges. All river levels on the Upper Calder and it’s tributaries have now peaked and are continuing to return to normal. Therefore, the possibility of flooding has reduced and this flood alert is no longer required.
