This Flood Alert has been removed. River levels have now peaked and continue to fall following the heavy rain on Thursday. Water levels are now below the level expected to cause flooding to low lying land and roads, though standing water and debris may still remain in places. Further rain is forecast today, Saturday 16 January, and we do expect river levels to rise as a result, but we do not expect these levels to be high enough to cause further flooding. We will be monitoring the situation closely and will re-issue this Flood Alert if necessary. Please remain aware of your local situation.
