High tides, strong winds and large waves this evening may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible from 17:00 to 23:00 on 22/01/2026. 
Locations most affected will be the The North Sea coast from Skipsea to Mappleton, including Hornsea. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded . 
This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 23 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
