This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low-lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely throughout today, and into this evening, Sunday 17th January. River levels are remaining high as the water moves through the system in response to the recent rainfall and snow melt. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate. The forecast is for dry conditions today and through until tomorrow afternoon where further rainfall is expected. Take care on riverside footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message as necessary, and no later than 6pm on Sunday 17th January.
