Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are high but slowly falling on the River Coln following recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, especially in the Fairford area. The forecast today, 25/04/2024 is mostly dry but with a chance of some showers developing through the afternoon. River levels are expected to remain high but continue falling slowly over the next few days. Levels will be sensitive to further rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/04/2024, or as the situation changes.
