River levels have risen at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected at around 04:00am on 21/01/2021. Areas most at risk are Allestree Ford Lane Bridge, Darley Abbey Park, including Duke Street, Bath Street, River Street, Folly Road and Haslams Lane. We expect river levels to remain high until Friday afternoon, 22/01/2021. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 21/01/2021, or as the situation changes.
