River levels are high butbeginning to fall at the Bishops Frome, Bromyard and Yarkhill river gauges as a result of heavy rainfall.
Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected.
We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads along the River Frome from Bromyard to Hereford. Other locations that may be affected include Bishops Frome and Yarkhill.
We expect river levels to remain high until Sunday 31/03/24. Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days, which make keep river levels elevated. River levels may fall and then rise again.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 9am on Saturday 30/03/2024, or as the situation changes.
