River levels are now returning to normal. The forecast is for some heavier rainfall to be possible this afternoon (Tuesday 8 October) and tomorrow (Wednesday 9 October), which may cause levels in the river to rise again. There may still be some areas where flood water is present until it can naturally drain away. Continue to take care on waterside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We will continue to monitor levels closely and reissue flood warnings and alerts when necessary.
