River levels are rising at the Wimpole river gauge as a result of the recent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible. We expect flooding to affect the River Rhee from Guilden Morden to Haslingfield. Further rainfall is forecast for this evening. We expect river levels to respond to this rainfall and remain high over the next few days. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated this evening, Thursday 28 January, or as the situation changes. We are closely monitoring the situation.
