River levels have risen at the Kempsey Yacht Club river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is expected/possible this evening 16 February 2020. Flooding may affect properties and roads in and around Powick. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Tuesday 18 February 2020 We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by 3 am tomorrow 17 February 2020, or as the situation changes.
