Further rainfall is forecast this evening Tuesday 19/01/21, through until Thursday Morning. This rainfall is forecast to become heavier and more persistent on Wednesday, before clearing on Thursday morning. River levels are currently slightly elevated and are expected to rise further on the Cocker Beck at the Lowdham Grange river gauge as a result, and similarly on other watercourses in the area. Flooding of roads and farmland remains possible. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the Trent in Nottinghamshire, the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Thurgarton Beck and others. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. This message will be updated daily at 17:00, or as the situation changes.
