Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are beginning to fall more quickly on the River Thames from Lechlade to Oxford following recent rainfall. However, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths, tow paths and roads is expected to continue, along the length of the Thames from around Clanfield/Bampton to Oxford. The rest of this evening, 25/01/21, and overnight tonight will be dry and cold with a high risk of further icy conditions. Light rain showers are forecast for tomorrow, 26/01/21. River levels are falling, but will be sensitive to further rainfall and snow melt this week and therefore still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are operating weirs to reduce flood risk. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and be particularly cautious around watercourses during icy conditions. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/01/21, or as the situation changes.
