River levels are still high, but are continuing to fall at the Lilbourne gauge today, 10/12/2024. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is still possible. We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to River Avon between Stanford and Rugby, River Swift between Cosford and Rugby and Clay Coton Brook between Yelvertoft and Lilbourne.
There is very little further rainfall forecast for the next few days, so we expect to see river levels to continue to fall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast and checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may still be flooded.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 11/12/24, or as the situation changes.
