Alert and warning history for Wales

Important! Unfortunately, we are missing some historical data for Wales, so the graphs are incomplete.

Alerts and warnings by month

Alerts and warnings by year

Notes on the data and methodology

The graphs measure the number of times an alert or warning was first generated for a location, irrespective of its duration. So, for example, if an alert is generated on Monday, but removed on Tuesday, that will count as one alert. And if an alert is generated on Monday, and is not removed until Friday, it will still count as one alert despite being in place for several days. So you can't tell from this data how many days in any given month or year had active alerts or warnings, simply how many were issued.

This page is still a little experimental, so please bear with us if it doesn't appear to be working properly.
