High tides on Thursday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible for 2 hours either side of Thursday's early morning tide at 01:15 on 05/02/2026. The weather increases tide table values by 0.31 m. Total forecast tide is 5.05 metres Chart Datum (2.32 mAOD) at Portsmouth with a strong Easterly Force 5 wind. The shingle beach at Eastoke Corner has been impacted by high energy waves. Water could push further up the beach than normal. Property at Eastoke Corner, near the nature reserve, and at Southwood Road may flood. Overtopping of splash walls along the beach front may flood gardens. Beach huts at West Beach, near the Inn on The Beach may also be affected. Thursday’s tide at 13:15 05/02/2026 is forecast to be 0.04m higher (2.36 mAOD). We are closely monitoring the situation. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Avoid South Hayling seafront. Shingle can be thrown by wind and waves. This message will be updated by 18:00 on Thursday 05/02/2026.
