River levels are now starting to fall, but remain quite high in some locations, and will be responsive to further rainfall. The forecast is unsettled for the next few days, with periods of heavy rain during Wednesday and Thursday possible. There may still be some areas where flood water is present until it can naturally drain away. Continue to take care on waterside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We will continue to monitor levels closely.
