Flooding possible. Be prepared.
The River Ems is high following weeks of rain. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, Brook Meadows, and rural roads will continue. Only scattered showers are forecast Thursday. River levels should not rise far. Friday's weather is uncertain. Rain is currently forecast from mid morning. If as much rain falls as predicted, from 13:00 13/02/2026, minor flooding could affect gardens of properties on North Street, River Street and at the Wren Centre, Westbourne. Also near Lumley Mill and Victoria Terrace, Emsworth. River levels should rise less than twenty centimetres. Less rain is predicted Saturday, however, river levels will not fall far. More widespread rain and flood risk is forecast on Sunday. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. We are closely monitoring the situation operating our structure at Constant Springs, and clearing debris screens. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Westbourne and Emsworth, flooding may occur quickly. This message will be updated by 20:00 13/02/2026.
