This Severe Warning remains in force because of flooding cutting off the area. River levels remain high at the Lugwardine river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property continues. Flooding is affecting isolated properties in Sutton St Nicholas. Scattered showers are expected over the next 24 hours with further prolonged rainfall forecast from midday on Wednesday 19/02/20. We expect river levels to remain high for several days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please call 999 if in immediate danger. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 8pm on Tuesday 18/02/20, or as the situation changes.
