Flood Alert

River levels are forecast to rise at the Butts Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected between 20:00 and 22:00 today, 28/02/20. Flooding is expected to affect low lying land and roads to the River Lugg north of Leominster. Locations that may be affected include Yarpole, Mortimers Cross, Kingsland and the B4362. Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until 16:00 on 29/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 2am on 28/02/20, or as the situation changes.
