River levels remain high and may rise again in the next 24 hours at the Saxons Lode river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue. Flooding may affect property at Hanley Road, Upton upon Severn. A predicted peak at Saxons Lode river gauge of between 5.5 to 5.7 m is expected on Wednesday, 19/02/20. Scattered showers are expected over the next 24 hours with further prolonged rainfall forecast from midday on Wednesday, 19/02/20. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
