Flood warning

River levels remain high at the Worcester (Barbourne) river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of property is expected. We expect flooding to affect Waterworks Road properties, Newport Street and Pitchcroft Lane. Worcester river gauge peaked at 5.73m early on Sunday morning, 24/01/21. Rain is expected in the next few days which may keep river levels high and we will monitor for any further impacts. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 10am on Tuesday, 26/01/21, or as the situation changes.
