River levels remain high on the River Thame following recent rainfal. River levels are falling upstream of Thame. Downstream of Thame river levels are still high but steady. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 13/10/24 especially in Thame, Stadhampton and Dorchester. Sunday should be mostly dry with rain forecast overnight into Monday morning. River levels are expected to remain high over the coming days and are sensitive to further rainfall.
We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 14/10/24 or as the situation changes.
