Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are high on the lower half of the River Thame in response to recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today between Thame and Dorchester. The weather forecast is for scattered showers today, Tuesday, with many places remaining dry, followed by rain overnight. More showers are expected tomorrow. We expect water levels to remain high on the lower river over the next few days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 20/03/24, or as the situation changes.
