Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are rising along much of the River Thame as a result of recent rainfall. Therefore, flooding of roads and low lying land is expected to continue today, 28/01/2025, particularly in areas downstream of Aylesbury.
The forecast is for further showers, some of which may be heavy at times, through today and overnight tonight. We expect river levels to continue to rise through today and to remain high over the next few days.
We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Do not drive through flood water.
This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 29/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
