River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Ross-On-Wye and Lydbrook river gauges as a result of Storm Christoph. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads along the River Wye. Peaks:- Lydbrook peaked at 6.57m Friday afternoon 22/1/2021, Ross on Wye peaked at 4.80m Friday afternoon 22/1/21. No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for several days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 10am on Sunday, 24/01/21, or as the situation changes.
