Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides and forecast weather conditions this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 1 hour either side of high tide on Saturday evening.
Areas particularly at risk include low lying areas and quaysides in Fowey, Lostwithiel, Looe, Millendreath, Seaton.
The high tide at Plymouth on Saturday evening is at 20:13, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.56mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.3 and 0.4 metres above tide table level. Strong force 7 South Westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 3m are forecast over the high tide.
Coastal conditions should ease for Sunday morning’s high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
