Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides and forecast weather conditions over the next three days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Areas particularly at risk include the tidal Helford Estuary, Portmellon, Mevagissey, Pentewan and Par.
High tide at Falmouth is at 7:27pm on Thursday and 7:44am on Friday, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.15mAOD and 2.82mAOD respectively. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.4m and 0.7m above tide table level. Offshore wave heights of around 2.8m are forecast with Force 3 South Westerly and Force 6 South Easterly winds respectively.
Further alerts and warnings may be issued over the weekend.
