This Alert remains in force for the high tide at 5:45 PM on Monday 31st March.
High spring tides accompanied by strong winds and waves mean flooding is possible at Newcastle Quayside around the high tide between 4:45 PM and 7:45 PM on Monday 31/03/2025.
Areas most at risk are coastal roads and footpaths with the potential for some minor overtopping near the Swing Bridge at Newcastle Quayside. We are working closely with Newcastle City Council to ensure that any sandbagging requirements are in place though levels are not expected to be as high as those seen on Sunday afternoon 30/03/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Detailed tidal information for those that use it; The forecast high tide level is 3.10mAOD.
This message will be updated by 8:00 PM on Monday 31/03/2025, or as the situation changes.
