River levels have peaked and are falling on the Upper River Calder following heavy rainfall earlier this evening, Thursday 5th December. No further significant rainfall is expected overnight and river levels are expected to continue to fall into tomorrow morning and therefore this Flood Warning is no longer in force.
Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area and flooding of roads and low lying land is still possible, therefore please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses.
Further rainfall and strong winds associated with Storm Darragh are forecast from tomorrow afternoon and into Saturday which may cause further river response. We are closely monitoring the situation and will re-issue this Flood Warning if necessary.
