Level Graphs Hints and Tips
The graphs can be zoomed and panned to view specific time periods in more detail. Seven day charts will go down to a 12 hour window. Long-term charts will go down to a 10 day window.
Mouse users: Hover over the chart and use the scroll wheel to zoom in/out, click and drag to pan left/right.
Touchscreen users: Use two fingers to pinch/spread the chart, one finger to pan left/right.
You can use the "reset zoom" button to revert back to the full view instead of needing to zoom all the way back out.
The x axis (date/time) of the graph is UTC (GMT) all the year round, as otherwise things will go weird when the graph straddles the time when the clocks change! This also matches the underlying data format, which is consistently stored in UTC. But the tooltip labels on the individual values on the seven day chart will show GMT/BST as appropriate.
Please note: Geographic coordinates may reflect the access point for the gauge, and not the precise location in the watercourse that it is taking readings from.
