Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is possible. River levels are high but dropping slowly on the River Cherwell following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads remains possible overnight 26/11/24. Properties most at risk are those closest to the river including properties on Mill End, Woodlands, Cherwell Avenue and Queens Avenue.
The forecast is for further rainfall tonight (26/11/2024) into tomorrow. River levels are expected to continue falling slowly overnight. Levels are sensitive to rainfall and may respond again later this week in response to forecast rainfall. We are monitoring the situation. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers and air brick covers. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 27/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.
