Flood warning

Heavy rain is currently falling in the Wootton Brook catchment and will continue throughout Monday, September 23. This is causing Wootton Brook to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near the River are already flooded and we now expect properties in Wootton Brook community to be affected this evening onwards. Properties on Shoal Creek close to the Wootton Brook in Northampton are expected to be affected first. Further rainfall is forecast this evening, and therefore river levels are expected to continue to rise. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 17:00 on 24/09/24, or before if the situation changes.
