Warning. Flooding is expected in Baleshare. Act now.
The prevailing weather forecast, along with very high tides means that flooding from the sea is expected due to Storm Chloe. The Baleshare causeway is at risk of being flooded. To find out if the road and causeway are closed, please follow the Western Isles Coastguard Facebook page www.facebook.com/hmcoastguardwesternislesskyeandlochaber/ Flooding is also possible to low-lying land, roads and properties either side of the causeway on Baleshare and Clachan na Luib. Strong winds also mean that waves may cause wave and spray impacts. The highest risk is either side of the high tides, which at Balivanich are on Monday 26th October at 18:45 GMT and on Tuesday 27th October at 07:00 GMT.
