Flooding expected. Take action now.
Warning Update. Flooding is expected in Barra Airport. Act now.
The prevailing weather forecast, along with very high tides means that flooding from the sea is expected. Flooding is possible to low lying land and roads along the coastline around the Airport and Eoligarry. Strong south-westerly winds also mean that waves may cause wave and spray impacts. The highest risk is either side of the high tide on Tuesday 27th October at 18:30 GMT.
Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. Advice and information is available on our website or by calling Floodline on 0345 988 1188.
