Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have started to fall but still remain high on Batley Beck due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk are Batley, including Bradford Road from the junction of Copley Street in Carlinghow to the junction of St James Street in Batley, properties either side of Thomas Street, and Stocks Lane.
Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
