Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high at the Bourn Brook Gauge following the persistent heavy rainfall yesterday and overnight. The risk of flooding to property, roads and farmland remains. We expect flooding to affect Caxton End, Alms Hill, Kingfisher Close and Toft Road in Bourn, Brookside in Toft, and Royston Lane in Comberton. Further light rainfall is possible over the next 24 hours which may cause levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, Friday 25th December, or as the situation changes.
