Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising quickly at the Lodge Hill Elford Road river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible this evening and overnight 05/12/2024. We expect flooding to affect properties around Wentworth Way, Derry Close, Osmaston Road, Arosa Drive, Burnel Road and the A38 Aston Webb Boulevard.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow morning 06/12/2024.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
This message will be updated by 10:00 06/12/2024 or as the situation changes.
