Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have reacted at the Bradwell river gauge as a result of Storm BABET. Flooding continues. Areas most at risk are properties and access at risk on Soft Water Lane. Church Street and New Church Street may also be affected. Potential traffic disruption on Netherside.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 36 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and follow advice from emergency services.
This message will be updated this evening, 21/10/23, or as the situation changes.
