Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are forecast to rise at the Burrow Beck river gauge as a result of localised thunderstorms. Consequently, flooding could occur between 03:30 am and 09:00 am on 11/08/20, but there is low confidence given the unpredictable nature of thunderstorms. Any flooding is expected to affect properties on Lentworth Drive, Whinfell Drive, Beechwood Gardens, Bowerham Road, off Cranwell Avenue, Hodder Place, Cork Road, Canterbury Avenue Issue of Flood Warning based on current forecast of potential for significant heavy rainfall. Flooding is expected if rain falls as forecast.
We expect river levels to rise until 06:00 on 11/08/20.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have already checked the watercourse and debris screens for potential blockages.
Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 11/08/20, or as the situation changes.
