Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River and drain levels remain high on Burstwick and Keyingham Drains in response to recent rainfall. Areas most at risk include low-ying land around Burstwick and Keyingham Drains and the surrounding area, including Hedon, Saltend, Burstwick, Thorgumbald and Sunk Island. We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk, drive or cycle through flood water. Take care and consider activating your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 9pm on Wednesday, 08/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
