The prevailing weather forecast, along with high tides and large waves means that flooding from the sea is expected. Gale Force winds also means that a combination of wave overtopping, spray and debris may result in the closure of the Churchill Barriers.To find out if the road and causeway are closed, please follow the Orkney Islands Council Twitter feed: https://x.com/OIC_RoadsThe highest risk is either side of the high tides, which are tomorrow, Friday 23nd January at 02:00 BST and 14:00 BST.
